Responsibilities/Requirements:
  • Completed studies in the field of computer science, mathematics, physics, or a comparable qualification
  • Monitoring, maintaining, and solving DB related problems, supporting MySQL Databases
  • Manage MySQL databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems
  • Responsible for administrative tasks (implement changes requested by the customer or as a part of the incident resolution)
  • Establish and perform MySQL backup and recovery
  • Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security
  • Conduct database upgrades, migration, patching, advanced replication/streams, capacity planning, script development
  • Monitor database activity and resolve technical database issues that arise
  • Knowledge and experience with other database systems desirable (Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL, Sybase)
  • Fluency in English
  • Fluent German language will be a plus
  • Availability for on call once every 6 weeks
